Diane Nikro

Diane is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience. Diane has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, health and non-government settings. Diane offers a unique balance of warmth, humour and professionalism and aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to feel seen and heard.

Diane has worked with clients across the lifespan and with a variety of presentations including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma and personality disorders. She also enjoys working with people who suffer from specific phobias such as emetophobia.

Diane enjoys working therapeutically with adolescents and adults. She is also Board Approved Supervisor for Registered Psychologists and Clinical Psychology registrars and enjoys supervising and mentoring psychologists also.
Diane is experienced in many therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Diane is also trained in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing).

Diane’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with Honours and a Master of Clinical Psychology. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and was a past deputy chair of the Clinical College.
Diane maintains a passion for therapy and enjoys working with clients to meet their therapeutic goals and attain best practice treatment outcomes.
